Saratoga Spa State Park is one of many spring locations the Department of Environmental Conservation uses for its yearly fish stocking programs throughout New York's public streams, rivers, lakes and ponds. As you can see this is a hugely popular event at the park where hundreds of children take part in this effort. DEC employees disperse fish in five gallon containers so our young park visitors can release the fish in the nearby steam.
